My name is Ashlyn, and I am currently a Film Studies and Spanish double major at UNCW. As a child, I loved stories. there is something beautiful about dreaming up anything you can imagine, so I decided to make a career out of it! in life, I have always been curious, so it was no surprise when my 10-year-old self became enthralled with cameras since they capture moments. I have been creating moments with my camera on and off now for the past 10 years one adventure at a time.
Last fall, I made my directorial debut when I released The Ghost of Her, a short narrative that follows Sadie, a college freshman, who battles survivor’s guilt after the untimely death of her twin sister when a mysterious figure clad in a white sheet haunts her path. This film is currently in the festival circuit.
During my time at UNCW, I have assisted with a variety of student productions as director, assistant director, sound mixer, and screenwriter as well as worked with film companies around Wilmington such as Honey Head Films and Cucalorus Film Foundation.
